Ethnofusion was a comprehensive monthly guide column for Outtallectuals by Baxtak, periodically discovering the most innovative new world electronic fusion music. In this blog Outtallectuals covers a range of fusion genres, namely ethnic, oriental and tribal Middle Eastern dub, trap, drum n bass, IDM & mid-tempo bass music.
Ethnofusion was eventually merged with the Shivelight platform as a co-curation between Outtallectuals & Samaya, however, our playlist and blogwork continues on both fronts in tandem.

The ending of this August marks the second full solar cycle that I’ve been writing this monthly blog. In this process, I’ve also tried to conquer some of my pre-conceived ...

YAHNA – Paraphilia Taken from an unexpectedly good album by this rather underground artist; a project that sounds highly atmospheric and experimental, with plenty of interesting foley twists to it. Sitting somewhere between instrumental hip-hop produced by The Alchemist’s poltergeist, the sound of time if traversed on a reverse axis, ...

Outtallectuals is late with this month’s delivery of Ethnofusion picks for July due to the writer being away on the road in this seasonal high time of gigs and other nature-related outdoor goodness. Perhaps it’s not professional but it’s human so for anyone who might be pissed off for getting ...
