Presenting ‘Bouncy Tales’; the new four-track EP from Halfred, centered around the artist’s whimsically cheerful sound. The opening track ‘Slowctopus’ is a bubbly halftime banger, sounding as oddly fun as a slimy sea creature moonwalking on the ocean bed, while ‘Outta The Cave Man’ takes the same tone and applies it to a pre-historic cabaret kind of setting. Snowons (VIP) is a polished rendition of Halfred’s first contribution to Outtallectuals in 2015, upgraded for modern clarity, while Chuggington’s heavier sound comes through the collaboration with producer, Know Matter. Overall, the EP’s half-time / glitch DnB aura is crafted for light moments on dancefloors while maintaining the technical bass music production firmly in tact.
